Egan 2026.28 - The Ultimate
Egan 2026.28 Announcement:
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come. This week will be the final Egan of the season. You know the route, you know the climbs; now time to smash those hills one last time in 2026.
But this is Egan, so of course we are not going out with a whimper but with a BANG. Riders are HIGHLY encouraged (required?) to wear your most eccentric cycling outfits! Bring out the Hawaiian shirts, the funny hats and the tassels. If we’re REALLY lucky, maybe Leo returns for his first 2026 Egan in his maid costume.
We’ll have an early, A, B and women’s group this week. While this is the last Egan of the season, don’t completely write off your Tuesday’s yet because next week will be the 2026 Egan Banquet. See you Tuesday!

Last Egan: Christophe seems to make this site better every week so huge shoutout to him! Donald and Matin continued their head to head battle with Donald winning the men’s GC by 5 seconds. Din safely secured the women’s GC with 23 seconds over Katie. Congrats to riders of the day Kai Yee and Din! Welcome new riders: Adam Meyer, Andrew Maclean and Peter Bergstrom!

What: The Egan Ride meets at the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce parking lot every Tuesday at 6:00pm and leaves at 6:05. We regroup and recover after every climb; if you can do OLH in under 25 minutes you should have no problem keeping up with the A group (the B and women’s group have no OLH recommendations, just come join!).

How: Remember, pace yourself appropriately, there's lots of hills to climb! Pay attention to traffic and don't hog the road. Riders are encouraged to wear garishly colored socks on the Egan Ride, and riders are discouraged from riding Egan if they wear conservative socks.
