[SF Start] AVRT WTFNB Ride - Mount Tam and Coast - Sunday 12/7

Let’s ride around my favorite roads in Marin! The route has all the best hits: climbing on quiet roads up Tam via Alpine Dam, and taking in the coastal views along Hwy 1 from Stinson Beach. Please save the route if you are unfamiliar with the area.

GGB > Fairfax > Alpine Dam > Seven Sisters > Stinson Beach > Hwy 1 > Muir Woods Climb > Hwy 1 Descent > GGB

Meet: Sunday, December 7 2025 at 9:00am at Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center. Depart at 9:10am.

Pace: This is a moderately paced ride. We will keep it together on the flats, and I’ll aim for roughly 3.5 w/kg on climbs. We will regroup at key points along the route:

• Quick water and bathroom: Fairfax Coffee Roasters (Mile 17, 5 min)

• Regroup: Alpine Dam (Mile 25)

• Coffee stop: Parkside Café (Mile 37, 20-30 min)

• Regroup: Four Corners (Mile 48)

• Regroup if needed: Parking lot at Tam Junction, after descending Tam (Mile 50)

Food/Coffee Stop: We will stop at Stinson Beach (Mile 37) for coffee, pastries, and/or pizza.

WTFNB rides are subject to Alto Velo's Ride Rules and all participants must sign an annual waiver.

Note: It’s king tide season and the Mill Valley-Sausalito bike path will be flooded around 12:00pm. I think we will be okay by the time we are rolling through (I estimate 1:30pm). If I’m wrong, we can either ride on the highway shoulder or wait for the tide to recede.
