Course: Rectangular 0.6 mile long 4 corner urban crit. Steady/slight uphill (tailwind on the day) through the start finish. Fast slight downhill (headwind on the day) before the last 2 quick corners. The penultimate corner can be slightly off-camber. Last Corner has quite a few bumpy sections.

Nutrition: Fruit snacks before the race, plain water during the race

Recap (written by Paul Levy): Tailwind made the climb fast but then the headwind on the descent really made it feel like you’d instantly lose any advantage you got from attacking the climb. Several moves tried to go and I was in a few, but Lamorinda was shutting everything down, keeping it together for their teammate who won at Berkeley Hills yesterday and was likely to win the omnium today. Pretty bumpy final turn to the finish and I could easily tell throughout the entire race that I was not carrying as much speed through turns 3 or 4 as most of the rest of the group, so knew I wouldn’t do well coming through those with the group, tried to go hard form the final lap bell but never really got a gap, got passed by several people on the downhill, held on for 8th.
