The Joy Ride 8/8/26 Our monthly joy ride Returns with a trip to Sawyer Camp trail

This ride sponsored by Bicycle Law. Thank You Miles.

The Joy Ride is a no-drop ride with a slower pace than the C Ride. It’s more in line with the old Peet’s ride tempo, but faster than the LHR ride.

Pace: Ideal for someone who can climb OLH in 30-35 minutes, easily maintain 15 mph on flat sections and skilled at ridding in a peloton, for a B or C rider looking for a recovery ride or a launching pad to get one’s fitness to the C level. The ride leader will be emphasizing riding skills, bike safety and courtesy.

Go to The Alto Velo web sight for more Joy Ride details…

Skill - We will ride in a group 2 × 2 both directions on Canada Rd. working on maintaining a nice tight groupeto.

This will give you a sense what it’s like to be “pulled along” in a peloton. Quite exhilarating!!! If you want to be on the front, feel free join me & do some pulling.

Safety - Be mindful of your surroundings, cars, pedestrians and other ridders .

Courtesy - Please pull off the road & out of the bike lane when stopped for regroups.

Ride LeadersEric & Christy

If you’re a new rider or haven’t done a group ride before, there are many critical things that one needs to know about biking in general & about group biking in particular, some of them not so obvious. It's a good idea to learn these not-the-hard-way 😉.
