The Joy Ride 5/9/26 Return of The Classic Peet’s route

I am proud to announce that a new ride (or maybe an old one) has been added to Alto Velo’s Saturday’s bike ride repertoire. The once monthly Joy Ride.

The Joy Ride is a no-drop ride with a slower pace than the C Ride. It’s more in line with the old Peet’s ride tempo, but faster than the LHR ride.

Pace: Ideal for someone who can climb OLH in 30-35 minutes, easily maintain 15 mph on flat sections and skilled to ride in a peloton, for a B or C rider looking for a recovery ride or a launching pad to get one’s fitness to the C level. The ride leader will be emphasizing bike safety and riding skills.

NEW riders introduce yourself.

PS Bicycle Law, will be sponsoring Coffee & Snacks at Manresa (T&C Palo Alto)!!!

The Joy Ride is subject to Alto Velo's Ride Rules and all participants must sign an annual waiver.

New riders welcome!

If you’re a new rider or haven’t done a group ride before, there are many critical things that one needs to know about biking in general & about group biking in particular, some of them not so obvious. It's a good idea to learn these not-the-hard-way 😉.
