Alto Velo C Ride Sept. 12, 2026 – Steve Esswein Classic Modified

Hi All,

I was looking through my old routes and we used to do a ride up OLH, WOLH and head back. We started at Peet’s in Los Altos at the time so a little longer than starting at Summit, but it was our B Ride. How things have changed.

We will take the Arastadero route to PV but make a slight detour up Los Trancos and take the tiny gap in the fence. We will take the quick climb in Portola Valley Ranch and hit Alpine. We follow that to Willowbrook which we scoot down hill to the Portola Road intersection where we will regroup. From there it is a straight forward climb of OLH, regroup at Sky Londa, descend to climb WOLH and regroup at Sky Londa again. A quick descent down E84 into Woodside, through the Olive Hill Maze and across Mtn. Home and Portola roads to Westridge. We climb that and descend into Ford Field. From there it is a straight shot to Shake Shack. That is right. This week is free shaks.

If none of that made sense or you’re directionally challenged… download the route linked below.
