Alto Velo C Ride - August 9, 2025 - Local Climbs

Jonathan here! It’s my birthday week and while I was tempted to take us up W Alpine, the forecast is looking a little hot for that. So instead you’re going to have to follow me up a silly maze of climbs in our back yard, most of which will be nice and shady. We’ll tackle Altamont, Foothills Park, Wayside, Willowbrook, Alpine, Joaquin, and Westridge. Any similarities to upcoming Egan routes are strictly coincidental.

AV C Ride
Time: Saturday, gather at 9:00 am, rolling by 9:15am
Start: Summit Bicycles
Route: It’s my birthday and I’ll climb if I want to - 42 miles, 4300ft
Regroups
Top of Foothills Park (and quick stop for water on the way out if needed) - Mile 12
Top of Wayside (mile 21)
Top of Joaquin (mile 27)
Alpine/Portola for water (mile 31)

Non - Members:
Alto Velo welcomes non-members to join us on our rides. However, non-members must have a Waiver on file with the club.
The AV C Ride offers a more moderate workout than the other Alto Velo rides (although a workout it is). Group riding skills & communication in a supportive controlled peloton are emphasized. When not on designated climbs, we aim to keep the group together.
