It’s Halloween! In celebration of those folks who dress up as ghouls, goblins, and internet memes, we’ll satisfy our demand for spooky uphills and tricky descents by rewarding ourselves with a delicious treat after the ride.
The ride starts out from Summit at a C ride pace and we’ll make our way up King’s Mountain via Huddart Park. We’ll then drop down Tunitas to Starr Hill where we’’ll ignore Swett Road’s siren song by going right and dropping down onto Native Son. If that doesn’t give you chills, after climbing back to Skyline, we’ll descend the Spooky Downhill Stretch (the part that terrifies me) to Skylonda. After a quick break, we’ll do the 84 to Portola dance and end up at everyone’s favorite purveyor of shakes and burgers, Shake Shack!
