Saturday July 4th, we will be doing a 250 km ride to celebrate America’s 250th B’day!! :)
We will head up to Pacifica, swing down Hwy 1, bike till Santa Cruz and make our way back via Eureka Canyon and Foothill Expy.
Easy but efficient pace, stay together on flat roads and most of Hwy 1 where we can expect a slight tailwind. Go easy on rollers.
Your own pace on the Hwy 1 climb just before Devil’s Slide and on Eureka Canyon climb. Regroup after big climbs/descents.
Ride stats: 258 km and 3080 m of elevation gain (160 mi and 10,105 ft)

0. Devil’s slide trail restroom/water
1. HMB (that corner)
2. Pigeon Point Lighthouse
3. 7-11 at Santa Cruz
4. Top of Eureka Canyon climb
5. End of Lexington reservoir trail

Time: Summit Bicycles - Palo Alto at 9:00 AM, roll out exactly at 9:10 AM
Food/fuel: Bring ~500 grams of carbs in whatever form you can consume
Bailout options: Higgins-Pursima-Kings, Lobitos/Tunitas-Kings, San Gregorio-84, Pescadero-West Alpine-Page and finally Santa Cruz (via Mt. Charlie)
